Male and female plants of dioecious species often differ in their resource demands and this has been linked to secondary sexual dimorphism, including sex-specific interactions with other organisms such as herbivores and pollinators. Abstract Introduction Endodontic gutta-percha undergoes deformation at temperatures above 65°C. The temperature influence of heat carriers on gutta-percha cones was investigated in vitro. Methods Six single-rooted extracted teeth were embedded in resin and fixed. The root canals were prepared (ProFile; Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaiques, Switzerland) to different tapers and bisected. Auxin application and cutting length affect rooting in Cuphea hyssopifolia stem cuttings

The effect of cutting length and indole-3-buyric acid (IBA) application on adventitious root formation stem cuttings was studied in Cuphea hyssopifolia. Softwood terminal cuttings of a clone grown in Sicily were trimmed to three lengths (2, 4 or 6 cm) and inserted to a 1-cm depth in bottom heated plastic trays containing a humidified peat-vermiculite mixture 1:2 (v/v). To verify the cutting response to different auxin concentrations, cuttings were dipped to a 1.0 cm depth in a 500ppm or 1000 ppm IBA solutions for 10 seconds. Cutting percent survival was 100%. Shade from athletic stadium structures can be a significant detriment to turfgrass performance. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of shade on rooting and playing surface stability, measured as traction, on overseeded or non-overseeded bermudagrass (Cynodon spp.) turf. An experiment was established in 2013 on a mature bermudagrass [Cynodon dactylon (L.) Pers. cv. Riviera] turf that was either overseeded with perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) or non-overseeded. Reverse inheritance is a new class reuse mechanism, an experimental implementation of which we have built for Eiffel. It enables a more natural design approach, factorization of common features (members), insertion of classes into an existing hierarchy etc. Due to its reuse potential in Eiffel we consider exploring its capabilities in other industrial-strength programming languages like C++, Java and C#.

A search for unstable heavy fermions with the DELPHI detector at LEP is reported. Sequential and non-canonical leptons, as well as excited leptons and quarks, are considered. The data analysed correspond to an integrated luminosity of about 48~pb$^{-1}$ at an $e^+e^-$ centre-of-mass energy of 183~GeV and about 20~pb$^{-1}$ equally shared between the centre-of-mass energies of 172~GeV and 161~GeV. The search for pair-produced new leptons establishes 95\% confidence level mass limits in the region between 70~GeV/$c^2$ and 90~GeV/$c^2$, depending on the channel.
